Holy Mystery or Sacrament

A Holy Mystery is an action of the Church through which God communicates His grace using visible elements such as water, oil, bread, and wine. Orthodox Christians often speak of seven principal Mysteries, but the Church’s sacramental life is not understood as being limited only to seven ceremonies.
