1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At Artos, we respect your privacy rights. This page explains how we handle privacy choices across analytics, marketing, referral attribution, and opt-out rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar state privacy laws.

2. We Do Not Sell Personal Information

Artos does not sell personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. We also do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes, except as described below.

3. What Constitutes "Sharing" Under CCPA/CPRA

Under California law, "sharing" includes:

  • Analytics cookies and tracking that help us understand how visitors use our website
  • Marketing and advertising cookies used to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns
  • Referral attribution identifiers used to credit affiliate, curator, and Ambassador Link referrals
  • Third-party integrations that may process personal information for their own purposes

4. How to Opt Out

4.1 Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We automatically detect and respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser. When GPC is enabled:

  • Analytics tracking (PostHog) is automatically disabled
  • Marketing cookies and referral attribution identifiers are automatically disabled
  • Your preference is stored and logged for compliance

To enable GPC:

  • Firefox: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection → "Send websites a Do Not Sell and Share signal"
  • Chrome/Edge: Install a GPC-supporting extension (e.g., Privacy Badger, DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials)
  • Safari: Enable "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking" in Preferences → Privacy

4.2 Privacy Choices

You can also manage your preferences directly through our privacy choices controls in the footer or account settings. This allows you to selectively enable or disable specific categories of cookies and telemetry.

5. Your California Privacy Rights

Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the following rights:

  1. Right to Know: Request disclosure of personal information we collect
  2. Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal information
  3. Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
  4. Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights
  5. Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  6. Right to Limit Use: Limit the use of sensitive personal information

6. How to Submit a Request

To exercise your California privacy rights, contact us:

Email: privacy@artosmarket.com

Please include "California Privacy Rights Request" in the subject line. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by law.

7. Third-Party Services

7.1 Simple Analytics (Marketing Site)

Our marketing site uses Simple Analytics, a privacy-first analytics provider that:

  • Does not use cookies
  • Does not track visitors across sites
  • Does not sell or share data
  • Is fully compliant with GPC by design

No opt-out is required for Simple Analytics.

7.2 Analytics and Monitoring (Web Application)

Our web application may use PostHog for product analytics, Sentry for error tracking and session replay, and Axiom for performance monitoring and structured logging. When GPC is detected or you opt out via cookie settings, PostHog analytics and Axiom web vitals and analytics logging are disabled; Sentry replay and tracing are disabled without consent, while essential Sentry error reporting remains active.

7.3 Referral Attribution

When marketing cookies are allowed, we may store first-party referral attribution identifiers to credit affiliate, curator, and Ambassador Link referrals. In jurisdictions where prior consent is required, we keep that referral state only for the current tab until you make a choice. If you do not opt in before leaving or reloading, the referral credit may not be retained.

8. Changes to This Page

We may update this page from time to time. Changes will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date.
