Liturgical Calendar

The liturgical calendar organizes the Church year through feasts, fasts, saints’ commemorations, and appointed Scripture readings. Orthodox churches may use different calendars for fixed feasts, so the civil date of a celebration can differ while its liturgical meaning remains the same.
