Description
This bracelet came to be because of a meme. You've probably seen it - a monk, leaning way back in a chair, a prayer rope in his hand, appearing to be exhausted from who-knows-what, but caption implies that it's his own weakness: "Forgive me, Lord, for I am sinful and retarded." I was at a Protestant buddy's place around the same time I saw it. We were talking about the never-ending difficulties that come from the life of faith. I repeated the meme to him: "Forgive me, Lord, for I am sinful and retarded." He didn't stop laughing for an hour. He said, "You should put THAT on a bracelet." So, I (finally) did. This is going to be too edgy for some folks, no doubt. But for anyone who regularly does what he knows he shouldn't, and doesn't do what he knows he should," to paraphrase St. Paul, it's probably for you. It's about 8.25 inches long, and maybe 2.25 inches "high." It's made from genuine cow hide leather, laser cut and engraved, but hand-stamped and dyed with Fiebings Pro black dye and a coat of Briar Brown antique gel oil. It's then sealed with a leather wax/conditioner. The snaps are antique brass from The Buckle Guy. Judging from the huge response, the couple of prototypes I made are going to go instantly, so please note that this is made to order. Given my time constraints and the making time, it will probably ship a week after it's ordered. (IOW, I need to make it). If you have a thicker wrist, no worries - I can easily extend the length. Just let me know. You can probably see that I have a skinny to average sized wrist, and the 8.25" fits me just about right.
